Throughout Europe, international professionals are in high demand, and significant resources are being invested to offer them long-term job prospects. The economic and organizational pressure is enormous, not only, but especially, in the healthcare and nursing sectors. To facilitate a smooth integration into daily operations, we have developed an XR application together with the highly experienced experts from context YELLOWS that allows managers and specialists to practice employee performance reviews extremely efficiently.
How it works: I put on a VR headset, and a short tutorial explains the three main functions. Then I select one of several scenarios, for example, "Missing Vacation Request." The virtual space changes, and I find myself sitting in an office across from a realistically human-looking person who moves realistically and engages in a genuine dialogue with me. In this scenario, my goal is to find out within 10 minutes why the employee hasn't submitted a vacation request despite being asked to do so, and when she would like to take vacation. After 10 minutes, the conversation ends, and I begin a feedback session in which the employee, the AI (trained with the collected expertise), and I provide our assessments of the conversation. This process can then be practiced in different scenarios, including perspective shifts. Progress in competence is rapid and noticeable.
We believe this presents an excellent use case for communication training, or more broadly, for role-playing.
